*Short description The agricultural structure survey provides information on the production structures and capacities of agricultural holdings as well as their farm structures and the economic and social circumstances of the farmers and/or managers. The main content of the agricultural structure survey is the data on land use, livestock and labour force plus other selected structural characteristics. The agricultural structure survey (formerly “agricultural reporting”) was carried out every two years in Germany from 1975 to 2007 inclusive, with a total share of the characteristics collected in each second survey, i.e. every four years. In the years of an agricultural census (1979, 1991, 1999 and 2010) the agricultural structure survey was part of the agricultural census. Owners or managers of establishments are required to provide information in accordance with the collection limits. The data are spatially differentiated up to the level of the district-free cities and districts (total survey) or as far as the administrative district level (representative survey). The quality report provides information on methods and definitions as well as the quality of the results of a statistics.
