Approvals of brand-new motor vehicles

The data set contains the registrations of brand-new motor vehicles in the state capital Düsseldorf since 1999. The files contain the following column information: Year: Year of approval Total motorcycles: Number of newly registered motorcycles Motorcycles including light motorcycles without vehicle letter: Number of light motorcycles without vehicle letter Passenger cars: Number of newly registered passenger cars Lorries: Number of newly registered trucks Bus and coaches: Number of newly registered coaches Tractors: Number of newly registered tractors other motor vehicles: These included, for example, police/civil protection vehicles, fire trucks, garbage trucks, road cleaning vehicles, towing and crane trucks until 2010. In 2011, this included, due to a restructuring of the body types for commercial vehicles, e.g. waste collection vehicles, road sweepers/channel cleaners, sales/advertising vehicles, salvage/towing vehicles and firefighting vehicles. As of 2012, the types of vehicle bodywork will no longer be reported due to incomplete information from the manufacturers.
