Dataset description

The presented maps on the crop-specific cultivation areas were prepared in the Working Group Experimental Producers in Organic Agriculture at the Association of Chambers of Agriculture. The definition of these growing areas is based on the division of Germany into soil-climate areas (BKR). Each municipality in Germany is assigned exactly to a soil-climate area. This also results in a clear allocation to the different crop-specific areas of organic farming.
