Dataset description

A block is part of the municipal division. This hierarchical system divides the Cologne city area into a city structure and block structure at various levels. Other components include a road structure and addresses. The entire municipal division is explained in this publication. Definition: A block is an area within a district that is surrounded by roads or natural or structural boundaries (watercourses, railway lines) from all sides. The description of the blocks takes place on the surrounding roads. One block has at least one block page. When a block is cut from a district boundary, two separate blocks are formed. Explanation of the attributes is attached to the shapefile as CSV. Coordinate system Shapefile: ETRS 1989 UTM Zone 32N
