In addition to the balance sheet as a representation of municipal assets and debts, the result statement depicts the economic “success” of the performance of tasks, complemented by a liquidity analysis of the financial accounting. </DIV> <div>The so-called “three-component model” illustrates the relationship between financial accounting, balance sheet and income statement and the analogous planning components.</div>
