*Short description The statistics of the building permits provide information on the approval of construction projects subject to approval and equivalent to them. The monthly survey programme includes, inter alia, information on the type and size of the building, type of construction activity, type of heating and heating energy and estimated construction costs. Since 2012, additional information has been provided on the energy of water heating and according to the EEWärmeG. The data is provided by the building offices and builders. The data are spatially differentiated up to the level of the municipalities. The quality report provides information on methods and definitions as well as the quality of the results of a statistics. It is available for free download on the website of the Federal Statistical Office.
