The data set shows the affiliation of the Wuppertal districts to the two Bundestag constituencies 102 and 103, which concern Wuppertal. The constituency 102 is entirely located in the northern part of Wuppertal. The constituency 103 comprises the two southern districts of Wuppertal Cronenberg and Ronsdorf as well as the cities of Remscheid and Solingen. Therefore, it is not fully included in the data base, but only with its Wuppertal area share. The two polygons of the dataset are kept in the small-scale structure of the city of Wuppertal, a node and edge model of the city, which serves as the spatial reference base of the Wuppertal municipal statistics. Within this system, the “Bundestag constituencies in Wuppertal” are aggregated from the municipal districts. The Bundestag constituencies in Wuppertal are constant in the long term. Changes based on an amending law to the Federal Elections Act are in principle possible, but not foreseeable.
