*Short description The Pendlerrechnung NRW provides annual information on the commuting movements of the workers at the municipal level. The pendulum movements between the municipalities in North Rhine-Westphalia and the pendulum movements that go beyond the borders of North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany are recorded. There are breakdowns by commuters and commuters, by economic sectors (producing trade and services), reproducing in the profession, by sex, by age and by scope of work. The commuter calculation is a secondary statistics that uses the required work and place of residence information as well as the characteristics of commuters from different statistics. Since 2013, the results of the North Rhine-Westphalia commuter bill have also been available at the level of districts and district-free cities. For this purpose, regional basis is used for the calculation of the pendulum movements, the circles and circular cities. The results for 2020 appear to a lesser extent due to methodological differences compared to previous years and the impact of the pandemic on underlying surveys (characteristics, regional depth). Only pendulum interweaving with 10 and more pendulums are shown. In comparison to previous years, all commuting paths are taken into account as permissible pendulum movements, regardless of the airline distance. Territorial units in the states of Schleswig-Holstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Thuringia are represented at municipal level. Due to the methodological changes, the results of the 2020 commuter calculation are only partially comparable to previous years. — *Literature Here you will find the method description in PDF format: https://www.pendleratlas.nrw.de/pdf/Pendlerrechnung_Methoden description_lang.pdf [IT.NRW — State Statistical Office]
