This document describes publicly accessible city climate data from the DWD Climate Data Center (CDC).
The measurements are taken in the center of major cities in order to compare the city and the surrounding area and the influence of different
to document urban structures based on meteorological parameters.
Due to the urban situation, the stations of the special measuring network urban climate cannot comply with the usual World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) standards, but follow the recommendations of the WMO Instruments and observing methods report No. 81 “Initial guidance to obtain representative meteorological observations at urban sites” (Oke, 2006). The data in the directory “recent/” are preliminary data (not yet fully quality-checked).
