The data set contains polygons of the 26 constituencies in the city of Remscheid. An electoral district is an organizational unit in political elections. They result from the aggregation of the corresponding voting districts. Each electoral district is assigned a polling station and an electoral board. Changes are made by the municipal election committee when changes in population distribution or legal requirements are required. The last time in Remscheid on 26 February 2020, adjustments were decided on the basis of a judgment of the Constitutional Court for the Land NRW of 20 December 2019 (VerfGH 35/19). The following factual information is stored about the polygon surfaces: Constituency number, constituency name, (shortened) text string to the voting district.
