The data set contains the spatial data on the environmental zone in Düsseldorf.
On 15.09.2009 an environmental zone was established in the state capital Düsseldorf. The environmental zone was enlarged on 01.02.2013 and from 01.07.2014 only vehicles with green pollutant badge (also called fine dust stickers) can be used. Anyone who enters without or with a red or yellow badge risks a fine of EUR 80.
Information on the issue of a fine dust badge is available on the side of the Road Traffic Office.
Not all vehicles are subject to the obligation to stick, and in some cases, derogations may be granted for necessary journeys into the environmental zone.

The Federal Immission Protection Ordinance forms the basis for the air pollution control plan, which was established by the District Government of Düsseldorf. The aim of the Lufre Content Planning and in particular the Environmental Zone is to improve the quality of the air and to avoid possible health hazards for Düsseldorf citizens.
