*Short description Foreign trade statistics provide information on North Rhine-Westphalia’s cross-border trade on the borders of the Federal Republic of Germany with the countries of the European Union (EU) and the other countries of the world. Quantities and values of the imported or exported goods are collected from importers and exporters on a monthly basis by type of product and country. The data collection is a central collection which is the responsibility of the Federal Statistical Office. There is no spatial differentiation. The quality report provides information on methods and definitions as well as the quality of the results of a statistics.
