The data base is the continuation of the residential building and housing stock. Based on the housing and housing stock of the previous year, the inventory data as at 31.12. of the reporting year are calculated on the basis of inputs and departures from the reporting year (construction completions, works departures). The most important distinction of the survey feature building is the separation into residential and non-residential buildings. Residential buildings are buildings that serve at least half of the area for residential purposes. Accordingly, non-residential buildings are characterised by more than 50 % of the area of the usable area. Apartments in residential and non-residential buildings with one or two apartments incl. residences. The apartments are supposedly located exclusively in residential buildings.
