Dataset description
The data set contains the results of the groundwater investigations carried out in the Bonn city area.
Groundwater is part of the natural balance and potential drinking water. It must be managed in such a way that it serves the well-being of the general public and also the benefit of individuals, but avoids avoidable impairments of ecological functions. Regulations on protection and use are laid down in the Water Resources Act (WHG) and in addition to the Landeswassergesetz (LWG).
The Lower Water Authority of the City of Bonn monitors the quality of the Bonn groundwater. For this purpose, samples are collected at groundwater measuring points and examined in the laboratory. Overview monitoring enables a surface assessment of groundwater quality.
