Locations of Variotafels — Mobility data

The data set contains information on the Vario plates, which provide up-to-date information to the road users in the state capital Düsseldorf. In the Düsseldorf area, these dynamic traffic signs stand above all on particularly busy roads. With their help, the road users should be informed in a timely manner about current disturbances or receive recommendations. The commuter flows in the state capital are so large-scale controlled. Our dataset contains the static information from the MDM platform as an XML file. Information about this XML file is stored in a JSON file, the column information in another TXT file. In addition, geodata has been processed in a GEOJSON and a KML file that shows how this information could be used. This data is also available as a CSV file for you. This dataset is a data offer of the Office of Traffic Management on the Mobility Data Marketplace (MDM). The MDM is a virtual marketplace for mobility data operated by the Federal Road Agency and funded by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. On the MDM you will find further data sets (so-called MDM publications) of the state capital Düsseldorf, among other things real-time content of the Variotafels.
