Dataset description

The card titled “Map of the Electorate of Brandenburg” was reissued between 1725 and 1750 by Jacob Paul von Gundling and improved by Reiner and Joshua Ottens. It sets the region on a scale of approx. 1: 550 000. In a side map, the area around Berlin and Spandau will be on a scale approx. 1: 100 000 pictured. The LGB copied the old colored copper engraving. The reproduction took place in cooperation with the Brandenburg State Archives. There is the original copper engraving, which served as a template. The card has a size of 71 cm x 61 cm.
