The data sets provide video data from different journeys of a test section of the railway 6624 Annaberg-Buchholz — Schwarzenberg between KM10,5 and KM11,6, near the city of Scheibenberg, Saxony.
The data was collected in the joint project ZuG (state monitoring of the track environment). With the data, it is possible to estimate the identity and accuracy of different image processing methods by comparing them with the realised position changes of objects in the immediate track environment.
The ZuG project develops an IT-supported process to simplify, digitise and automate the complex control of the track and objects in the vicinity. With the system, the data can be evaluated and the necessary maintenance measures can be efficiently planned and implemented.
