Modular supplementary constructions

Berlin urgently needs additional school places. This is why modular supplementary buildings, called “MEB”, have been used for several years. They offer classrooms, divisions and specialist rooms according to the latest standards and can be realised particularly quickly due to their construction. They have 12, 16 or 24 general classrooms and meet the quality standard of traditional school buildings. The modular supplementary buildings are barrier-free and equipped with interactive whiteboards in many rooms. In the attractively designed buildings, the teachers have so-called bases and the students each have a group or division room. Specially developed MEB has been set up for schools with the special educational focus “Intellectual Development”. They are characterised by open learning areas with bevelled walls, relaxation rooms, special door handles and sanitary facilities.
