OPA_TAD: Traffic forecasts for the BAB network in NRW

The project OPA_TAD, funded by the mFund funding initiative, provides a big data platform that can not only store both private and open data, but also process analysis orders. As a demo application, traffic forecasts for the network of the federal motorways in NRW are created on the platform. This dataset provides the generated traffic forecasts. For individual counting points or sections of the road, the following information is provided, inter alia: — Forecasting time — Coordinates — predicted cruising speed — forecast traffic strength — Tempo limit — Road section length — Capacity of the road section — Utilisation according to the Handbook for the Design of Road Vehicles (HBS) — extended utilisation — Utilisation assessment according to HBS — extended utilisation assessment — forecast travel time delay Forecasts are made every hour for the next 7 days. All metadata can be viewed at https://map.opa-tad.de/ in the Help section (question mark at the bottom left). In the link, the parameters “westLongitude”, “eastLongitude”, “southLatitude”, “northLatitude” can be adjusted for the selection of the required region.
