In order to protect people’s health and vegetation from the influences of excessive air pollution, air quality is continuously examined and assessed according to legal regulations.
For this purpose, the State Office for Agriculture, the Environment and Rural Areas (LLUR) in Schleswig-Holstein operates a network of measuring stations at which air pollutants are measured using different methods.
The measurement data from Schleswig-Holstein and many additional information on the measurements are forwarded to the Federal Environment Agency and reported to the European Commission together with the data of all federal states.
All currently published data must be classified as ***provisional***, as they are first checked for validity for your quick information. Before the final assessment and assessment of air quality, a multi-stage inspection according to legal requirements will take place later.
In the CSV files, on the day of the change from normal time (CET) to daylight saving time (CEST) the 3 o‘clock measurement is missing, but on the day of the conversion from summer to normal time, there are two 3 o’clock measurements. The JSON files are not affected by this problem, here normal time is used throughout.
