Peat protection program Part II of 1986

Part II of the Moor Protection Programme included the remaining 263 high bogs in the lowlands and 148 micro-high bogs in 1986, in addition to the bogs of part I with industrial descent. The backdrop thus includes moorings predominantly without degradable sub-areas and — in addition to the MSP part I — 5 more moors, which have significance as a peat deposit. Information is available on the sub-areas that are valuable for nature conservation from a national point of view outside the micro bog, differentiated according to the categories “natural and near-natural high bog” as well as “degenerated or heavily modified high bog”. The smallest bogs are not digitally recorded.
