This data set shows the number of households in the neighbourhoods according to five different household indicators calculated by the statisticians of the City of Münster:
Share of single households in all households in %
The proportion of 1-person households is a feature that describes how often people live and operate alone.
Share of senior single households in all single households in %
Especially the elderly, who live alone, are the focus of social planners when, for example, help or care needs to be organised.
Percentage of households with children in all households
Households with children have other needs for households with only adults, e.g. playgrounds or childcare services.
Share of households with a predominant migration history in all households in %
With a higher proportion of households with a predominant migration history, an international coexistence with all the resulting opportunities and challenges arises.
Average household size
The average household size is an easily understandable indicator describing the density of people in a household.
The household indicators are particularly exciting when viewed in combination with each other and at the district level.
