Dataset description

The BGR carried out an extensive flight in the Schleiz-Greiz area (Thuringia) as part of the BMBF joint project DESMEX. This is a preliminary sensing with the standard geophysical measuring system of the BGR. The measuring area is located between Gera and Plauen on the edge of the Thuringian Slate Mountains at the border to and partly in Saxony. The area size is about 445 km². 10 measurement flights with a total profile length of 1 591 km (37,544 measuring points) were needed to cover the entire measuring area. The Sollab stand of the 124 NW-SO measurement profiles is 300 m, the Sollab level of the 8 NO-SW control profiles is 2 000 m. The ASCII data file contains the raw data and the processed HRD data.
