The BGR carried out an extensive aflight at Finsterwalde (Brandenburg) as part of the BGR project D-AERO-Finsterwalde. This was a pilot study to explore the “Finsterwald residual hole chain” using the BGR’s standard aerogeophysics measurement system. The former lignite mining area is located between Finsterwalde and Lauchhammer in the Lower Lusatia, about 50 km southwest of Cottbus. The area size is about 250 km². 8 measuring flights with a total profile length of 1 131 km (270.550 measuring points) were needed to cover the entire measuring area. The Sollab stand of the 96 NW-SO measurement profiles was 250 m, the Sollab level of the 35 NO-SW control profiles varied and was 625-3 125 m. The ASCII data file contains the raw data as well as the processed HMG data.
