The focus of the Senad project is on the development of a hybrid tissue, which can detect state changes of the environmental components by means of integrated sensor technology. The aim is to install the functionalised fabrics into the asphalt carrier layer of road fastenings in order to detect structural damage to the layer. The core of the fabric is a sensor material that is stretched by loads and the electrical resistance is changed.
In the Senad project, fatigue tests were carried out in various test series with asphalt specimens with integrated sensor tissue in a servo-hydraulic testing machine. The strains in the sample body resulting from the loads as well as the resulting resistance changes in the sensor industry were recorded. For different wire thicknesses 02, 03, 04 and 06, seven to nine specimens P1, P2, P3, P4 etc. were produced and loaded with appropriate fatigue tests. This dataset provides the measurement data of 32 test series.
