Among other things, the SIRENE project uses DLR’s SUMO tool for microscopic traffic simulation. Blue light drives (e.g. professional fire brigade) were simulated in the urban area of Braunschweig to test different parts of the SIRENE system.
At this point, an exemplary simulated ride is provided. It is available in GeoJSON format for two vehicles or as JSON for LSA status and could be used for various investigations. This is a compromise to provide data records of a BOS service that are harmless to data protection law.
Specifically, the simulation prioritised the decentralised SIRENE approach for two firefighting vehicles in a column ride. This led via the junction K111 (Munichstraße to the motorway exit A391).
