*Short description Social reporting in official statistics provides, among other things, information on the number of beneficiaries of minimum social security benefits and the minimum coverage rate. The minimum coverage rate represents the share of the recipients of minimum social security benefits in the total population. Minimum social security benefits include the following assistance: — Total regulatory benefit (ALG II/social benefit) according to the Second Book of the Social Code (SGB II Basic Insurance for Workers), — Help for subsistence outside institutions under the Twelfth Book of Social Code (SGBX II Social Assistance), — Basic pensions in old age and in the event of a reduction in employment under the Twelfth Book of Social Security Code (SGB XII Social Assistance), — Regular benefits under the Asylum Applicant Benefits Act (AsylbLG). The statistics are derived from different data sources: — Federal Employment Agency: Results of the statistics on basic insurance for jobseekers on the reporting month of December. (Data after revision 2016); — IT.NRW: Results of social assistance statistics, statistics on basic pensions in old age and in the event of disability and asylum-seekers’ benefit statistics, population update: until 2010 on the basis of the 1987 census, from 2011 on the basis of census 2011. (each as of 31.12.) ___ *Quality reports The quality reports inform about methods and definitions as well as the quality of the results of a statistics. On the website of the Federal Statistical Office, the quality reports on the social statistics of official statistics are available for free download.
