Dataset description

The Federal and State Statistical Offices offer an interactive regional atlas as a Community product. In the form of thematic maps, the regional atlas depicts well over 100 indicators on a variety of thematic areas of official statistics for all federal states, administrative districts as well as districts and district-free cities in Germany. For each map, the user is offered a wide range of interaction possibilities for the visualisation and query of the information. The content of the regional atlas is based on the wide range of data provided by official regional statistics. A large number of these regional statistical tables are available online via the “Regional Database Germany”. The indicators calculated specifically for the Atlas can also be viewed in tabular form on the regional database Germany, under the special area with the theme code 99910. In addition to a cartographic representation, the regional atlas also allows a presentation of the indicator values in table form. Please note that only the circles for which there are actual values are listed in the tables.
