The map of the Terms of Use shows the areas with constraints for the construction of geothermal probes. For reasons of preventive groundwater protection, the use of geothermal heat in certain areas of Hamburg is not permitted or only permitted with restrictions. The applicable restrictions are laid down in the water law permit or in water protection areas in so-called exemptions.
