Transport of German trucks (VD) — Annual transport links (VD2)

The table collection VD2 presents the load journeys of German freight vehicles (trucks over 3.5 t payload and tractor units) in regional division (from-to-transport) and is part of the annual performance statistics. Goods weight and transport performance are shown in the product breakdown by type of goods (NST 2007 items). The spatial division of the loading and unloading locations takes place within Germany at the level of the administrative districts of the federal states and outside according to EU membership (EU State, third country). The annual transport links are presented in detail for total transport, commercial transport and in-house transport. Monthly key data on the main transport relations are provided in addition. Data collection for road haulage statistics is carried out as a sample survey in accordance with the National Transport Statistics Act (VerkStatG) and European Regulation (EU) 70/2012.
