The data set shows the number of unemployed and their share of the corresponding population aged 15 to under 65 per 100 workers (employed and unemployed together) by sex and immigration status of the unemployed. According to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Labour Force concept, unemployed persons aged 15 to under 75 are considered unemployed if they were employed less than one hour a week in the reporting week, were not self-employed, actively sought employment in the past four weeks and are available, i.e. can take up employment within two weeks. Survey characteristics of the date set are also the immigration status and the sex of the persons. Under immigration status, the migration background, as well as the distinction according to German (citizens/Aussiedlers) and non-German (including separately persons of the Turkish nation)
