Dataset description
More complex applications require accessible and machine-readable traffic data. For this purpose, the format GTFS (General Transport Feed Specification) developed by Google has prevailed. VRS GmbH provides timetable data in this format.
GTFS data are suitable for target data-based services to display the general timetable basic offer. They can usefully combine the data with value-added services (e.g. environmental searches to homes or doctors with public transport accessibility; tourist information).

Please note that GTFS data is currently being updated at irregular intervals. Therefore, we recommend — at present — an automated monthly import.
