Waste and recycling Hamburg

Depot container stands Storage container stands are equipment for the collection of waste paper, waste glass (white, brown, green), light packaging (e.g. plastics and metals) and small electrical and electronic equipment (excluding batteries and accumulators). The depot container stands are located in the street area and are available to all citizens free of charge for the separate disposal of recyclable materials. The service times of the depot containers are on weekdays (Mon-Sat) from 07:00 to 20:00. Only during these times can old glass containers be used in particular. Recycling yards In addition to bulky waste, metals, green waste and old textiles, other waste fractions and problem substances can be supplied in household quantities at recycling yards of the Stadtreinigung Hamburg. The recycling yards are available to all Hamburg citizens. A valid identification document or a registration certificate is required to legitimise the delivery. Corporate customers and institutions (e.g. associations) can only use the recycling yards for a fee. Note on data up-to-date The geodata is updated regularly. The update usually takes place on a monthly basis. Short-term construction site conversions of depot containers are therefore partly not included.
