As an output indicator, the DPI of New Housing Buildings expresses the change in the prices paid to the manufacturers/contractors of the various parts of construction, when the construction works are awarded. As an input indicator, it reflects the evolution of costs incurred by the manufacturer of a standard construction and is calculated on the basis of the material prices and the remuneration paid by the manufacturer.
