Berggrunnur er flokkaður eftir aldri, gerð og samsetningu en jarðgrunnur er flokkaður í helstu myndanir frá ísaldarlokum til nútíma. Einnig sýnir kortið dreifingu gosstöðva frá ísöld og nútíma, jarðhita, berghlaup, stefnu jökulráka, strik og halla berglaga og fundarstaði steingervinga. [This map series consits of 9 map sheets.
