Corine (Coordination of Information for the Environment) is a pan-European land classification where information on different land types is derived from new satellite images. The classification is updated simultaneously every 6 years across Europe. The purpose of CORINE is to provide comparable land-use data for all European countries and monitor Europe’s environmental changes over time. The Icelandic survey has been responsible for the CORINE classification in Iceland since the beginning. Here you can find CORINE results (data and reports) for 2018 https://gatt.lmi.is/geonetwork/srv/ice/catalog.search#/metadata/79f8ee95-d3ee-4810-ad3e-07d781109d70 as well as the results of land cover changes that occurred between 2012 and 2018 https://gatt.lmi.is/geonetwork/srv/ice/catalog.search#/metadata/2e24efac-795a-4ddf-8576-07b6591869a8 and improved layer from 2012 https://gatt.lmi.is/geonetwork/srv/eng/catalog.search#/metadata/bcd2904b-0229-4af3-be82-51a471a4faf2.
