Dataset description

The HAL project was part of a language technology initiative by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, which was designed to strengthen support for Icelandic in various computer systems. The HEL project was about making a speech recognition. Several companies in the field of software and telecommunications joined forces with the University of Iceland to create data in order to make a speech analyser for Icelandic. The project was funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture
