Dataset description

This Dataset was developed for the National Inspection Plan 2018-2021. The aim of the Plan is to protect water and human health from risks posed by domestic waste water treatment systems (DWWTS). It consists of a 5 category map based on river and lake Characterisation for the Water Framework Directive. The 5 categories are based on combinations of the river and lake risk, the Identification of DWWTS as a significant pressure and the prioritisation of areas for action. This layer was used in the determination of the risk Zones for the National Inspection Plan 2018-2021. For further information see the report on www.epa.ie
