1994 — Land use vector cover — 2015 edition

The reclassification of land use in 1994, carried out in 2015, was born from the need to be able to compare with other land use databases, in particular with the DB of 2003 and 2008, but also with the DB of 1976. This is because in the first edition of the 1994 land use, which was born in paper form, a larger minimum area (2.25 hectares) was taken as a reference point and a legend that was initially not in line with the Corine Land Cover classification and was then only partially adapted to it. Thanks to this redevelopment process, a database was obtained that has the same characteristics as the 2003 and 2008 DBs both as a minimum area and as a classification method and is therefore perfectly comparable with them. The potential for comparison with the 1976 Land Use Database has also improved considerably.
