Dataset description
The current water erosion map is based on the regional application of the RUSLE model (Renard et al., 1997) which takes into account six main factors: Energy and precipitation intensity (R-factor), soil erodibility (K-factor), slope length and slope (LS factor), vegetal cover (C factor) and conservation practices (P-factor). The estimated value expressed in Mg * ha-1 * year-1 is understood as an annual long-term average (around 30 years).
