ARPA Piemonte — Theoretical evaluation of the electric field from telecommunications systems

Estimate of the electric field produced in total by telecommunications installations with an authorisation to transmit on the regional territory obtained from the theoretical evaluation of each individual plant, according to the free space and distant field model. The calculation is made on the basis of the maximum power in the antenna, and the result of the contributions of each individual plant is duly added to obtain the overall electric field level. This level represents the maximum value of the electric field that can be reached around the plants. The assessment was carried out at different altitudes from the ground (1.5 m to 25.5 m, corresponding to the 8th p.f.t. of the buildings), following the digital model of the terrain with a pitch of 10 m.For the City of Turin, the maximum electric field values are provided at each building (taking into account its actual height), calculated using the same criteria as described above.
