A WMS (Web Map Service) is a service that produces spatially related maps of data from geographical information, and is a technical specification defined by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). This WMS presents the layer “Buildings and Anthropisations” of the Territorial Database of Reference of the Entities (BDTRE), structured according to the national technical specifications (DPCM 10 November 2011), collects the definition of all those objects that derive from anthropogenic activities in the territory and that do not constitute transport infrastructure (described instead in the specific layer). The contents of this service are divided into the following levels corresponding to the classes of the BDTRE:- built (both of a residential and industrial nature and activities of the tertiary);- artefacts (works that do not have the character of stability in terms of habitability and human location); variously located in the territory;- works for transport (works such as artifacts but of greater complexity);- works to defend the soil;- hydraulic defence works and hydraulic regimation. Maps can be viewed via various software (e.g. QGIS)
