Bike sharing stalls
Since summer 2014 the project “Bike sharing trentino e.motion”, promoted by the Department of Infrastructure and Environment of the Autonomous Province of Trento in collaboration with local administrations, has been active in the municipalities of Rovereto, Trento and Pergine.
It is a traditional and electric public bicycle rental system, to be used for urban movements even of a very short duration, of the open type (it makes it possible to pick up and return the bicycle at a different location from that of the pick-up, provided that within the same municipality) and based on the use of an electronic card that, in addition to unlocking the bicycle from the rack, also makes it possible to charge the service.
The use of the service in particular, is carried out by means of the smart card available to users of provincial public transport. In this way, the user is allowed to use, with a single card, the different mobility systems present in the territory (buses, bicycles, train).
Users who subscribe to provincial public transport who move to the municipal territory of Trento, Rovereto and Pergine Valsugana, therefore, can pick up autonomously, using the smart card name, one of the available bicycles, which after one or more daily uses will have to be repositioned on the same day at one of the stations of your choice, provided that within the same pick-up municipality.

An APP has also been developed to move around the city thanks to the teamwork of FBK, Trento Rise, University of Trento, Consortium of Municipalities and Municipality of Trento. See APP TravelaTrento for more details.
