Spatial representation of underground water bodies (GWB groundwater body) which consist of surface, valley and deep aquifer systems or volumes of water with similar qualitative and quantitative characteristics relating to the plain territory of the Piedmont Region at the scale of 1:250,000.GWBs are the reference unit for the classification of the environmental status under the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC) and the Groundwater Specific Directive (2006/118/EC).
