Bologna 3D Open Repository is the project dedicated to the collection, sharing and educational use of 3D models of the city and the history of Bologna. The initiative stems from the collaboration between CINECA and the Municipality of Bologna.
The blender models were created using the animated short “APA l’etrusco”, the cartoon that tells the adventures of APA, an Etruscan “doc” who in the cartoon has the voice and contagious sympathy of Lucio Dalla.
APA l’etrusco, created by Cineca for the Museum of History of Bologna by Genus Bononiae, won the award for best medium-length film in 2012, in the audiovisual section of the International Audiovisual Festival, Museums and Cultural Heritage (International Audiovisual Festival on Museums and Heritage — FIAMP) and is visible at the Museum of History of Bologna.
