The dataset contains data from the 14th General Census of the population related to households. Family is defined as a group of persons linked by marriage, kinship, affinity, adoption, protection or emotional, co-inhabitant and habitually resident in the same municipality (even if they are not yet registered in the register of the resident population of the municipality). A family can be made up of a single person. The temporary absentee does not cease to belong to his family whether he is in another accommodation (or cohabitation) of the same municipality, or is located in another Italian municipality or abroad. The definition of the family used for the census is that contained in the population regulation.
