Census 2011: Commuting out of the municipality of Milan

Number of residents of Milan who move daily for study or work, by region, province, municipality or foreign state of destination, recorded through the 15th General Census of population and housing. The census, carried out by Italian municipalities in collaboration with ISTAT, is a statistical survey that aims to count the totality of the population, housing and buildings on the territory. Thanks to the data collected with the census it is possible to have information on the number and the main socio-demographic characteristics of the population habitually staying and on the number and characteristics of the housing heritage (buildings and dwellings) with a high territorial detail, the reference date for the information collected is 9 October 2011.
