Dataset description

The dataset contains statistical indicators on structure and demographic changes calculated on the basis of Census data 2011, 2001 and 1991. The indicators are calculated at three levels of detail: municipality of Milan;9 municipalities;69 NIL with a population of over 3,000 inhabitants. For a limited number of indicators, the 1991 and 2001 figures are only disseminated at municipal level. The indicators are defined as follows: * 1) Housing density (Relation between the population resident in the area and the area area in square kilometers); * 2) Ten-year percentage change in population (Percentage ratio between the change in legal population between two censuses and the legal population at the previous census); * 3) Average age of the population (Average age weighted with the amount of population of each age); * 4) Population over 65 each child (Relation between the population of 65 years and over and children under 6 years old); * 5) Large elderly per 100 residents (Percentage ratio between the population of 85 years and over and the total population); * 6) Population of inactive age per 100 active-age residents (Percentage ratio between the population of non-active age, 0-14 years and 65 years and older, and the population of active age, 15-64 years).
