The Regional Ecological Network (RER) is one of the ways in which the objectives of biodiversity and ecosystem services in Lombardy can be achieved, starting with the Europoea Sustainable Development Strategy (2006), the Rio de Janeiro International Convention (5 June 1992) on Biological Diversity and the National Biodiversity Strategy (2010). At regional level is provided for in Article 3-ter of Regional Law 86/83.Art. 16.14 PTCP legislation
