The dataset shows the activities and the numerical consistency of the attendance of volunteers in associations during the emergency.
The civil protection volunteering of Umbria has mobilised in order to address the extraordinary and urgent needs arising from the spread of COVID-19. From the first days [voluntary associations](http://dati.umbria.it/dataset/organizzazioni-volontariato-pc) have worked to guarantee assistance to the population, to give support to the Mayors of the Municipalities and to the health personnel, with the first assistance activities at the San Francesco airport of Assisi in Perugia.
Subsequently, they became available for pre-triage activities at the emergency rooms of 11 regional hospitals and for the restoration of containers set up to support hospital staff.
Along with doctors, nurses and health personnel, there are an increasing number of frontline civil protection volunteers who support municipal administrations every day for tent assembly, assistance to “fragile” people known to social and municipal services, to subjects in quarantine but not positive by Covid-19 and support to cases confirmed by CoVID-19 in house isolation.
